One issue that continues to come up when the Green Party councillors in Shipley speak to local people in Saltaire is speeding and dangerous driving in the village.
Councillors Hawarun Hussain, Kevin Warnes and Martin Love have been working with the highways team to see what can be done to deal with speeding cars on Caroline Street.
Speed checks on Caroline Street, carried out in April at the request of the councillors, show that hundreds of drivers are speeding there each day.
The councillors have been liaising with Shipley Local Police Team about more enforcement action in the village.
Councillor Hawarun Hussain has said "Saltaire is a heavily built up area with lots of pedestrians at all times of the day. There are also two schools either side of the village.
"The levels of dangerous driving especially on Caroline Street is accident waiting to happen and we need to do something about it now."
The Councillors have been working with Saltaire residents for a number of years to improve road safety in the village. In late 2016, they held a public meeting at the Caroline Street Social Club to discuss traffic and parking concerns throughout the village and gather evidence to report back to the Council.
